Shin Kong Investment Trust Co., Ltd. (SKIT) was established in September 1992 as the Taiwan Securities Investment Trust Co., Ltd. It was renamed SKIT in 2000 and officially joined SKFH in July 2006. In addition to its head office in Taipei and branch office in Kaohsiung, the company opened a new branch in Taichung in 2007.

SKIT offers four major product lines, including public funds, private placement funds, discretionary trust and offshore funds. In recognition of its outstanding product performance, the company has earned such honors as the Golden Goblet Award, Standard & Poor's Taiwan Investment Funds Award, and the first "Excellent Financial Innovation Award" under the Golden Goblet Awards. As of the end of 2009, SKIT managed public fund assets of NT$33.4 billion, including equity fund assets of NT$13.6 billion, balanced fund assets of NT$2.3 billion, money market fund assets of NT$17.5 billion, and private placement fund assets of several billions.

Looking ahead, SKIT will continue to enhance performance and develop products with different strategies to fully meet asset allocation objectives of its customers. The company will also introduce offshore funds to help investors capture wealth-building opportunities in the global market.
