(TAIPEI) Shin Kong Financial Holding Co., Ltd. (SKFH) earned its fourth consecutive "A+" in the "6th Information Transparency and Disclosure Ranking," making it one of 37 listed companies in Taiwan to win the top grade. The ranking was conducted by the Securities and Futures Institute (SFI) under commission of the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) and GreTai Securities Market (GTSM).
The SFI has conducted the "Information Transparency and Disclosure Ranking" annually since 2003 to encourage greater information disclosure and transparency by enterprises in Taiwan. The ranking is based mainly on the information submitted by TSE- and GTSM-listed companies to the Market Observation Post System (MOPS) over the course of a full calendar year. The transparency rankings, from highest to lowest, are "A+," "A," "B," "C" and "C-." Among the 665 TSE-listed enterprises and 453 GTSM-listed enterprises ranked this year, 37 earned the "A+" grade. This figure represents an increase over past years and underscores the growing importance that public investors place on information disclosure and transparency. It also indicates that enterprises are including information transparency as one of the major targets in their corporate governance.
SKFH President Victor Hsu said that SKFH has worked tirelessly to professionalize and institutionalize operations at the company. Meanwhile, SKFH has also established independent director positions, as well as created an investor relations (IR) department dedicated to serving investors and providing extensive and timely announcements of important company information. The company also promptly discloses information through its website, and it maintains close communication with corporate and foreign investors through multiple channels, including roadshows, earnings updates, and active involvement in investor forums in Taiwan and abroad. Moreover, SKFH has hired an overseas IR consultancy to bring the company's IR website to international standards and provide more comprehensive and timely information to domestic and foreign investors. These sustained efforts amply reflect the company's responsibility and promise to investors and clients. The four consecutive "A+" rankings for information disclosure further demonstrate SKFH's high self-assessment and appreciation, as well as indicate the company's commitment to resolving shortcomings and problems.
