(TAIPEI)  Shin Kong Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (SKL) convened a meeting of the Board of Directors. The Board approved the promotion of SKL Vice Presidents Chu-Ming Chang and Shun-Yun Hsu to Senior Vice Presidents. Senior Vice President Chu-Ming Chang who graduated from the Department of Law at Chung Hsing University will be in charge of the Group & Personal Accident Insurance Department, Bancassurance Department, and Sales Channels Department. He has been in management positions including direct marketing, group direct marketing, and direct marketing development and served at SKFH on secondment as the head of Integrated Marketing Department from 2005 to 2009. Senior Vice President Shun-Yun Hsu who graduated from the Department of Accounting at Soochow University will be in charge of the Finance Department, Accounts Department, Labor Safety & Health Department, and General Affairs Department. He was head of the Finance Department and Accounts Department before the promotion.

After ECFA has been signed, the government is likely to allow insurance companies to invest in mainland stocks and bonds, at the earliest, in the third quarter of this year. SKL has currently established a mainland investment project team to be responsible for related preparation and research and ensure that an application can be submitted as soon as the regulations are officially changed.
